Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre - Recipe for Success

Technology of a Murder!

By David Moberg

Appropriate for High School, College, and Community Theatre

You are invited to the event of the century!  Delila and Richard are revealing the greatest advancement in biotechnology ever made!  And the troubles start there!  Perhaps a technology that creates clones isn't the best idea.... particularly when the clones might be killing people!  An hilarious investigation led by a campaign happy deputy, silly audience antics, farcical chase sequences through the audience, mistaken identities; the chance for some talented performer to play three different outrageous characters... and of course... the audience gets their chance to question the suspects.  A wonderful evening of fun and mystery!

What a Zany Cast of Characters!

Delila                           Sexy, naughty- can't leave those audience men alone!

Richard                        An inept lab assistant terrified of getting dirty hands!

Wilbur                         Gentle genius scientist... Is he really crazy?

Wilbette                       Wilbur's female man crazy clone.

Wilboo                         Wilbur's "evil" clone!

Melody                         Wilbur's loyal and pretty young assistant

Britt                              Brash protester against science

Katrina                          Britt's ditzy girlfriend

Deputy Ellie Pix              Inept Deputy campaigning for Sheriff

Connors                          Pix's photographer... every moment is a photo opt!

Felix                               "Deputy in training"  Training's going to last LONG!

     FULLY SCRIPTED for Success

Consistency equals success!  Unlike many other murder mysteries, all dialogue, action, and audience involvement in our plays is very carefully planned and practiced.  Very few performers, particularly young or inexperienced performers, can sustain two hours of comedic improvisation with audiences of diverse ages and interests.  Even performers experienced in improvisation often cross that fatal line between "being funny and trying to be funny."  Being fully scripted to look wonderfully spontaneous insures that every performance of Technology of A Murder will be consistently truthful, entertaining, and connected.

But we do not have a Dinner Theatre Facility

You don't need one!  Technology of a Murder can perform almost anywhere!  School cafeterias for students or parents; private dining rooms at local restaurants; clubhouses at retirement communities; fellowship halls at churches; meeting rooms at local hotels.

"To Eat or Not to Eat... That is the question!"

With food; without food, full meal; maybe only dessert... the choice is yours.  The plays are wonderfully engaging and entertaining with or without food.  When ordering the scripts, however, please specify whether or not your production will include a meal.  Slight alterations in the words and actions tailor the production to your special occasion.
