One-Acts for Performance or Scene Study

Life Signs

by David Moberg

Life Signs is comprised of five thematically related scenes that portray the challenges, struggles and heart-aches of significant relationships. The scenes are realistic bittersweet glimpses into betrayed trust, imagined infidelity, and failed personal dreams.  Only one of the scenes is comedic. Although Life Signs is appropriately called serious drama, it contains NO profanity or objectionable subject matter.

The individual scenes in Life Signs make superb material for acting class or scene workshop/study. The haunting ensemble scene transitions make Life Signs the perfect small class performance project.  The five to seven minute scenes allow for a workable and effective rehearsal schedule.

The cast size is adaptable.  Minimum requirement is two men and two women.

Appropriate for High School, College, and Community Groups

The expandable cast size, the truthful connection, the careful blocking, and the necessity for the performers to create many different, believable, and distinct characters make this play a valuable teaching tool for actors and actresses..... and a thought-provoking evening's of theatre for social, school, or civic events.
