Joanna
Janeen, a young but fading starlet/singer, hosts a party to
celebrate her upcoming performance tour. Joanna has lured noted
Hollywood producer, Toby Torleen, to attend in the hope of
winning a leading role in his newest film. Joanna's agent,
husband, understudy, and maid see this party as their last hope
to step into Joanna's spotlight. Silly antics with the audience
members, mistaken identities, unexpected surprises, and of
course, murder abound as the characters jockey for attention and
stardom. When gruff Detective Grout and his overzealous
assistant arrive, the zany antics escalate to a hilarious
conclusion. As dessert is served, the audience is invited to
help quiz the suspects and reveal the murderer! |

Consistency equals
success! Unlike many other murder mysteries, all
dialogue, action, and audience involvement in our plays is very
carefully planned and practiced. Very few performers,
particularly young or inexperienced performers, can sustain two
hours of comedic improvisation with audiences of diverse ages
and interests. Even performers experienced in
improvisation often cross that fatal line between "being funny
and trying to be funny." Being fully scripted to look
wonderfully spontaneous insures that every performance of
Fanfare to Murder will be consistently truthful, entertaining,
and connected. |
